Respite from Ranting

Windows and Walls by Cole Scott

My husband took this recently of a corner in our new family and kitchen combo.  I believe he unconsciously named it after the Dan Fogelberg album.  Love Fogelberg,  His song, Same Old Lang Syne, always brings tears to my eyes as does the album title song.
Here's a bit of each.

I'm "ranting" today, so glad you balanced me out.

I haven't heard the Old Lang Syne one in a while. Made me cry just a bit in my morning coffee.

I like the photo and I liked the sad song by Dan. It's a good reminder to not only remember the elderly but to do now that which will keep us vital and engaged in our elder years rather than sitting and staring.

Minka: he was such a talent.

Judy: glad I could help!

JC: every time I hear it I think of an old love & it stops me in my tracks.

Deborah: Thank you on behalf of my husband. He has been so busy working on fixing this house for us (his mother's farm house, now ours) and his photography has taken a back seat.

Baino: I look forward to your Paris windows.

Dutchbaby: He loves windows.

Abe: Thank you for the nice compliment. Means alot. Merry Christmas to you too.

Hello GM: Yes, it's good to remember the folks alone, on the street, in shelters; all who would rather be with friends and family safe and warm.

Does your husband do windows too?

I just popped back here to let you know that we watched "The Art of the Steal" this weekend. Thank you for recommending this very interesting, in-depth documentary of the incredible Barnes Collection. I now feel like getting on an airplane to see the collection from Mr. Barnes' point of view.

DB: You're welcome. Knew you'd like it. We're trying to get there before the collection is moved in 2011.
