Slaughter in Norway & America

A twin terror attack in Norway Friday afternoon has claimed the lives of 93 persons, most of them children.  At this point, one man has been arrested.  According to the NYTimes, he's a "right wing fundamentalist Christian"  claiming responsibility in this almost unfathomable act of religious and military inspired retribution against "threats of multiculturalism and Muslim immigration."

Mermaid: Yes, a mother's nightmare. It was my first reaction, as a parent, to the horror and pain of this outrageous tragedy.

I can't take much more news. The world is breaking my heart. It makes me crazy that some were quick to blame Muslims for this attack. Irony is no consolation here. There is too much crazy armed with too much firepower and there seems nowhere safe to hide from it all.
It is tragic. I am very weary of tragedy.

Sickening and appalling. My heart keeps breaking again and again for the horror of it all. Indeed he is a terrorist and a mass murderer, even killing children that have nothing to do with the actually fairly limited immigration policies he felt were somehow so terribly askew from the government. Evil twists reality.

I thought our cuture only gets this crazy, I was wrong. Sickness and evil can occur anywhere on earth. (Like even in a peaceful Ammish school a few years back)

We can't control it, we can only control our reaction to it.

A choice which is ours alone to make. Love or Hate?

Oslo is devastating. I'm praying to keep the survivors and wounded i my prayers.

At the same time, let's not overlook what's going on at home, even though it just involved property damage. A Planned Parenthood clinic in McKinney, Texas was bombed.

The scant news coverage has focused on the fact that this particular clinic didn't offer abortions.
