Obama and the Oompa Loompas

Did you watch the President's Jobs Speech last night?  He had some good things to say and I really should comment on them but I'm still thinking about the faces of his political foes and the captions running through my head as the cameras caught them in close up during the speech.

Boehner never cracked a smile.  Oh, there was a glimmer of one but I think he was contemplating how to shave another point off his handicap.

My older son thinks he looks like an Oompa Loompa.  You know, he's right!

McConnell had his classic Tooter the Turtle look on.  Not a pretty sight.

McCain looked like he has a real big hemorrhoid.  But then, he always looks like that.

As for Rand Paul, he looked like he wanted to have a throwdown with the Prez.  I'd love to see Obama knock that hairpiece off his head.

I haven't heard it yet in Italy but your comments made me laugh and that's a good thing. You think it's a hair piece?

I thought Boehner looked like he'd rinsed his mouth with vinegar just so he could maintain that sour expression. Sad.

He does look like an Oompa Loompa!

Ha! Ha! Ha! Funny post. I get tired of that too. They had already made up their minds not to like his plan. He could have had a cure for cancer and they would have hated it.

A hairpiece! That explains that weird look. Never thought of that... funny post, except it's just too damn real!

Grandmother: While searching for an image of Rand Paul, I read he wears one. Don't know for sure but I had a boss once who had one that was quite similar. It was knocked askew in a bar one night & he didn't know it. Nobody would tell him so I casually brushed by him and pulled it closer into place. He was too drunk to notice but my co-workers were on the floor. Needless to say, he was not well liked.

Bliss: That wouldn't surprise me at all. Perhaps the entire Republican side of the room drank the vinegar before the speech.

Mama Z: He looks like alot of things but that's the best comparison I think.

Janie B: Welcome to my blog and thanks for the observation. I think you are sooooo right.

That's great! Thanks. I thought our President's speech was very good---now if only "they" will do something besides resist, and frown.

Hi Linda! Nice to see you back. It was a good speech. I came fixated on the faces. The desire to create balloon speeches for each was overwhelming.
