I. Am. Back.

I am totally unable to account for MIA since January 6th , the date of my last post.    I was out of ideas and needed a break.  It happens a lot.  Many bloggers never return.  I contemplated quitting as I felt I no longer had anything to say.  I've never worked to promote my blog and have often wondered if my lack of focus, i.e. the focus needed to categorize my writing, is a drawback to developing a large readership.  I write because I want a place to make observations and, yes, vent from time to time.

Lately I've been re-thinking the process.  Topics are beginning to jell in my brain and they are truly all over the place.  I guess that's just me and I should embrace it.

I realize writing is my avocation so, why not continue?  Also, I miss you guys.  So here's to getting back in the groove.  I may experiment with short quick posts more often and I may get back to writing in depth about the things for which I feel great passion.

Today, I embed a short but sweet one from the great Stephen Colbert.

So Many Opinions, So Few Informed

Sen. Hilary Clinton responding to Tea Party Sen. Ron Johnson (R) Wisconsin about the State Dept's reaction to the killings at the Benghazi Embassy last September.

In a CNN interview afterwards, the Senator characterized her response as "theatrics" designed to get out of the questions.  He later backtracked.

Today, Sentor Johnson was rebuked by Secretary of State nominee, Senator John Kerry, who manged to chastise and embarrass Johnson in one neat stroke.

                                                                  *****************

Back to Hillary:  Another newly elected Tea Party Sentor, Rand Paul (R) Kentucky, told her, if he were President, he would have "fired her" for her failure to react to what he calls "the worst tragedy since 9/11".

Let's all thank God he is not President and never will be.  I lived in Kentucky.  They have a penchant for terrible, single minded, self-serving politicians.

Obama and the Oompa Loompas

Did you watch the President's Jobs Speech last night?  He had some good things to say and I really should comment on them but I'm still thinking about the faces of his political foes and the captions running through my head as the cameras caught them in close up during the speech.

Boehner never cracked a smile.  Oh, there was a glimmer of one but I think he was contemplating how to shave another point off his handicap.

My older son thinks he looks like an Oompa Loompa.  You know, he's right!

McConnell had his classic Tooter the Turtle look on.  Not a pretty sight.

McCain looked like he has a real big hemorrhoid.  But then, he always looks like that.

As for Rand Paul, he looked like he wanted to have a throwdown with the Prez.  I'd love to see Obama knock that hairpiece off his head.
