I am in advertising. My father was in advertising. I don't pretend to know alot but I know a great ad when I see it. Tonight, I saw it. With a Paul Harvey voice over and truly great photo stills, Ram Trucks is my big winner.
I have not heard Paul Harvey in a long long time. Just did a quick search to find that he died in 2009. It was great tribute to farmers. The piece about soldiers returning with Oprah was a great tribute too. Tributes are nice but I guess when I think of the ads I think of things being sold so I like a few of the car ads the best.
Counterpoint: I didn't see the ad tho I did sorta watch the game. Can't say I recall any of today's commercials. I'm certain it was the same old products: cars, beer and junk food.
I generally mute commercials and when ads are designed to be visual as with text because ad makers know people use a remote, I simply look away.
I became familiar with Paul Harvey as a young girl. My father admired him greatly. Dad was from Chicago and that was Harvey's home base where he made his living as a broadcaster for almost 70 years. His syndicated shows, Paul Harvey News and Comment and The Rest of the Story, were carried by the ABC networks. He was too conservative politically for my taste but I adored his tales in "The Rest of the Story". His voice was a one-of-a-kind radio voice too, deeply mellifluous, unmistakable. That voice always stopped me in my tracks.

I did like the 80s Apple big brother commercial.
That is truly a wonderful commercial. I didn't watch the Superbowl, so I appreciate you letting me see this one. It's definitely a winner. :-)
Agree. This was the best. I watched the entire ad.
