Hmmm. I guess the upper left third if it includes stories about (crap) places people (that would be me) go. Although, given the folks I've met in the blogosphere, it doesn't do us justice. Sounds like a disgruntled wanna be to me.
Hahahaha! That's good. I think a lot of the blogs I read fall outside this trio, but there you go. Thanks for the laugh, and have a great weekend, please!
Grandmother: Awww, don't take it personally. We all have something to say and it's wonderful to have a new form of expression in blog templates. I love blogging even if I'm doing it to clarify ideas or beliefs or hone my writing skill.
DJan: Many blogs are so clever, I find myself envying their creativity both in subject matter and presentation. I simply do not have time to perfect a template like WordPress. I'd dearly love to switch to WP but it's another learning curve for which I don't have the time.
Judy: Yeah, I thought it was funny. It wasn't meant to be taken personally or anything. We blog for our own reasons. Food blogs are amazingly diverse. I wonder if they are the largest subject category? I tend towards the political blogs as you know.
That got a laugh!! I am so ambivalent about blogging. I get all excited (well, relatively speaking) about something I want to tell, and then I think about it a bit and realize the whole idea of sharing my stories is just lame. Why on earth would anybody want to read about that? And yea, the self-promotion sticks in my craw. Don't want to do it or read about it. (You don't do that, btw.) But I still like the community and when I don't blog, I lose that. Actually your response to Grandmother is perfect - writing helps to clarify ideas and it does hone skills. I need to remember that the next time I talk myself out of posting.
Deborah, you are a pleasure to read. I wish you posted more often. Of late, I've had a hell of a time posting, mostly because I don't think my writing is of interest. Not looking for validation. I think bloggers have to find it within.
Eric: Are you from the South? You sound like you're from the South? Hahaha! I lived in a southern state for a number of years. Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment. I don't see anything wrong with self promotion. In fact, if I could figure out a way to monetize my blogs, I certainly would.

Cute cartoon you found there. I do a little self-promotion, but not for profit - just sharing. :)

I like the idea of the cartoon. Very funny. But the 1/3 self-promotion perhaps is the 1/2, ha, ha...
