John Edwards, You've got some 'splainin' to do!

                             Hoo boy!

First he says he wasn't "involved" with the woman.

Then, he was.

Next, he didn't pay her hush money.

But he did.

At least he didn't father the baby.

Or did he?

I mean, he was only running for POTUS, his wife only had cancer, they're under tremendous scrutiny. What was he thinking?

Oh.  Right.  He wasn't.

It boggles the mind, doesn't it? Just like Bill Clinton wasn't thinking, either, or JFK, and the list goes on.....

Well, not with his big brain anyway.

I think it would be horrible to be in the public limelight. Fame, celebrity? They can HAVE it!

Because people have affairs every day, do things they aren't supposed to, but most folks are not held under the magnifying glass, examined and analyzed for every little or big thing. Whew!!

It's good being a nobody! Seriously I mean that.

As for John Edwards, he never appealed to me, even though his words were great. Something about him always felt off.

I don't know who he is but it's consoling to know that we're not exclusive in stupid men who can't keep their pencils in their pockets. What stuns me . . is their total stupidity . .men in power who think they won't get caught. How did it come to this?

I wonder what it's like to be in someone else's skin? And I don't mean in the biblical sense. :)

I suppose I'm judging him from the standpoint of stupidity. I cannot for the life of me understand the complete indifference or lack of forethought or porbably, as my husband says, "sense of entitlement" about these things.

We all do things we're ashamed of and/or regret. Public scrutiny is usually not our battle. On the other hand, to be so much in the public eye, running a campaign for leader of the free world, with a wife everyone adores who's very sick with cancer...I guess he needed comfort and went to the wrong place.

I feel extremely sorry for Elizabeth Edwards. She's had enough to contend with.

I knew he was way too hot to be any good!

Debo: Now THAT is funny!

I think your husband has it right - a sense of entitlement. To whatever, whomever, whenever.
