NRA Humor

None of this is funny, I know.  Ironic is more apt.

  1. I'm so glad I found your blog - I just love your choices on "good stuff". Since I live in a totally red state, it's refreshing to be reminded that there are lots of thinking women out there...

  2. Thank you for reading the blog and commenting! Good Stuff is, of course, liberal thinking web sites but with many varying viewpoints.

    I hope you come back.

  3. My dad was in the Army Air Corp which became the USAF during WWII.  My cousin was a lifer in the USAF.  He re-upped 3x.  He was stationed in Europe and never had to go to war.  Most males in my family are okay with or like shooting guns, including my sons.  I am, however, terrified of guns and have a phobia about the explosive sound plus I think the NRA is too powerful and does everyone a disservice with their lobbying against gun control.

  4. Aiiee. Good stuff. I'd get more het up about guns, but I'm too despondent over climate change.

  6. Oh but it's too soon to talk about guns.  I don't know if you caught Jon Stewart Morning night.  I enjoy shooting guns but I'm cheap and don't own any.  My brother the family hunter has a few that I've shot.  Long ago I shot in the USAF too.  As Jon Stewart pointed out, we can't have firing tanks.  So it seems reasonable to limit the fire power.  I don't know maybe the founding fathers might have written the amendment more specifically if they had assault rifles back then.  Do I have the right to bear hand grenades?

  7. I like how you demonize gun owners like me just because I'm smart enough to figure out that criminals won't obey laws.
